Individual Competition

Girls can start formal competitions in the five-year section and keep competing for as long as they feel they are able.

Interclub competitions are usually held in August and are hosted by different clubs each year. These are a good 'warm-up' competition between a small number of clubs. Girls (and ladies) can be placed at these competitions but their results will not have any effect on the main competitions later in the year.

Main competitions are held between the end of September until the end of November. These begin with zone competitions (Sydney and Coffs Harbour) where a select number of girls are chosen to progress to the state final, held at Hurstville Civic Centre. Here, the finalists from both zones compete together in order for the judges to choose the best 12 girls in the state for that age division.

These twelve girls then compete at the State Grand Finals, held at the Sydney Town Hall, for the chance to be awarded State Grand Champion in their age group.
